CEE is a Conference of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), a professional association of educators in English studies, literacy, and language arts. NCTE is devoted to improving the teaching and learning of English and the language arts at all levels of education.

I happen to agree with this group for a change. Also, a follow up to what is going on in Florida. There's an attempt being made to alter teacher retirement. Instead of going out on the average of your best five years, Florida want to change it so that all the years are averaged. Meaning you will retire at about half of what you had hoped. I imagine this is all in retaliation of teachers not opting in on the common standards.
